A3 paper is part of the ISO 216 standard and is typically used for drawings, diagrams and large tables. A3 is used everywhere except for North America and parts of Latin America. The size of A3 paper measures 297 x 420 millimeters. It is the fourth largest sized paper in the A Series and is exactly half the size of A2 paper.
